PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA FOR SALES PURPOSES

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and European Council of April 27th 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of their personal data (henceforth the GDPR), applicable as from May 25th 2018, we have updated our guidelines on the protection of personal data and, in compliance with the said regulation, we hereby inform you that:

1) Following receipt of your consent to be sent sales information on products manufactured under the MUNICH® brand name and associated promotional events, some of your personal data has been gathered through your participation in events in which the brand name is involved or from forms and registration processes created and identified as such. This data is processed for what we term “Sales” purposes and it has been entered in a database entitled “Marketing”.

Reason for processing the data
To send sales communications with information on products manufactured under the MUNICH® brand name and to promote prize draws, competitions and events organized by the company.
This personal data shall be kept as long as the interested party allows us to hold it by consenting to its inclusion in the “Marketing” database.
Your personal data shall not be subject to decisions based on automated processing activities leading to the creation of profiles. Neither shall it be used to generate databases for reasons other than the specified ones.

Legitimate basis for processing the data
The interested party’s consent.
If the use or transmission of erroneous or false data is detected or data is used or sent without the interested party’s consent, the party responsible for processing the data shall proceed to delete it.

Recipients of the gathered personal data
In their capacity as the processors of the said data, suppliers of:
• Technological services: responsible for hosting websites and databases on servers and for managing content.
• Event organizers, promoters, and attendance control specialists.
• Courier companies responsible for delivering prizes.

The interested party’s rights as the titleholder of the personal data

You have a right to access the related personal information that we hold, to its rectification if it is wrong, to request its deletion, to limit or object to it being processed and to request its portability by sending a letter to this effect to the Data Protection Delegate at the postal address or e-mail address shown hereinabove, confirming your identity by attaching a copy of your identity card or an equivalent identification document.
If you did not consent to your personal data being processed in accordance with what is established in the GDPR, you may submit a claim to the competent control authority.
